Medisavers donates £7000 to the Pink Ribbon Foundation

Pink Ribbon Success

The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant making trust – an umbrella charity which provides financial support for UK breast cancer charities, which in turn supports breast cancer sufferers and their carers. The financial support from the foundation also helps to fund cancer research, detection and treatment. The foundation supports many smaller charities operating on a shoe-string budget at grassroot level.

Karen Phillips, Group Marketing Manager of Medisavers said, “ I am absolutely thrilled that as a company we are working with the Pink Ribbon Foundation. We have staff at Medisavers that have been affected by breast cancer either themselves personally or their friends or family. The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a charity with which we all feel a strong connection. We launched our Pink Ribbon campaign last September and we really want people to know what we are doing to support this excellent charity. A proportion of every sale of the Pink latex and Nitrile gloves is donated directly to the foundation. As a British company with a large female customer base we wanted to produce a quality product that would raise awareness and would also raise funds for such a worthwhile cause as the Pink Ribbon Foundation.”

Errol MacBean, Trustee of the Pink Ribbon Foundation added, “we wish to express our thanks to Medisavers for the generous donation. The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant making trust which funds projects and provides financial support to UK charities which helps to relieve the needs of those affected by breast cancer, the Foundation invites charities concerned with breast cancer to apply for grants from the money raised. Operating in this way allows for help to charities both large and small. With these donations from wonderfully generous organisations such as Medisavers some of the smaller organisations who rely so heavily on these grants will be able to continue their good work.”

Medisavers are supporting the Pink Ribbon Foundation with their Medisavers pink range of latex and nitrile powder free disposable gloves. For every box of 100 disposable gloves sold, 15p will be donated to the Pink Ribbon Foundation, for every bag of 10 gloves sold 10p will be donated to the charity. The new Medisavers gloves are ideal for many everyday tasks.
